Swimming

Last weekend we drove to visit my mom and we were quickly reminded of the humid, muggy heat that is the midwest! We were at Nana's house for 2 full days and we spent time at the pool both days! They recently remodeled their pool and it was a huge hit with Little Lady. She could have stayed there all day long.

Doesn't this picture just look refreshing! So hot lately :)

Love this girl! Only 18 days til 3 years old...

It was Itty Bitty's first time IN the pool. :)

Little L went down this slide at least 100 times! She loved it!

Brandon and I got to go on two dates, we played at a new discovery center in town and ate a few of our local favorite restaurants!! We had a wonderful visit 'home' to Nana's house.

Ephesians 6:1

The theme for this week has been obedience. We have practicing willing obedience A LOT this week. :) And to go along with it the littles have been learning their first memory verse! Yep, you guessed it: Ephesians 6:1!

It amazes me how quickly these young little minds soak up information! We started on Monday and by Wednesday before bed Little lady could say it all by herself!! It's encouraging and I'm thankful the these littles will have a firm foundation on the solid Rock of our salvation, Jesus Christ.

*Please don't be alarmed at the crying Itty Bitty in the back ground; he was happily fed immediately following the filming of this video :)

And Little Lady's turn! She said it with just the cue to get started, the rest by heart. :)

Daddy-Daughter Date Night

Brandon and Little L had their first {of hopefully many!} date nights last Saturday night! Chick-fil-a actually prompted the idea as they were hosting a special daddy-daughter date night event. It was perfect as this little lady love her some "chicken an' fries!" But really she just goes to play on the play equipment.

Daddy went all out and went to the store to buy some flowers for his little sweetheart! He took Little D with him and they brought some sweet smelling, pink peonies home for mama!!

Brandon came to the door and knocked...

He asked her if she would like to go on a date with daddy?

So excited! I couldn't get a picture that wasn't blurry!

And off they went!! Daddy is setting the standard high for future {waaaaaaay future} prospects!

Summer

A 'little' peek at our summer days so far...

Lots of book reading!! I happened upon this scene one afternoon and they were reading so sweet together all on their own. :)

A 'little' weed flower watering! ; )

Hanging out on the front porch....

...watching the 'big' littles play! One day, buddy, one day!

Splish-splashing in the hippo pool!

Hanging out with friends. :)

Going to the zoo and seeing the brand new Asian area with several new animals!!

Going to the splash park. :)

If the first couple weeks of summer have been a gauge for the rest, we are going to have a busy one!!!!

Busy days

I can already tell this summer is going to be a busy one! Monday was a packed day, including a fun afternoon at the park as a family!!

The middle little is a yummy, adorable, melt-my-heart sweetie these days! He is growing up so fast and I'm trying to soak up this stage as much as I can. Before I know it, he will a full fledge boy and then on to manhood!

My littlest little is so cuddly, smiley and is starting to 'talk.' I really want to get the adorable facial expressions when he is having a conversation. I just don't want to forget it. :)

And my oldest little...

...well besides thinking she 2 going on 13... she will be going to "school" 2 mornings as week starting in the fall. We toured the preschool on Monday and she didn't want to leave! Little Dude was so cute and when he realized his sister was in the middle of a group of kids in a class singing songs, all he could do was try to get to her and kept saying 'Sissy back! Sissy back!' He pretty much adores her. :)

As busy as the days will be, I hope they are filled with days at the park, soaking up these littles, while they are still little!

Especially this 'big' little, she's growing up too fast!

These are the ones

These are the ones.

The littles that I adore.

And these are the ones, the pictures of littles in their pajamas and acting silly.

These are the ones that will be my favorite to look back and remember our days.
